A man how dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.
Charles Darwin
No one likes to waste time, and most of us want to find ways to earn more money. What if you could turn your commute into mobile classroom? Imagine hacking your life so that during a period of time that you’d typically invest in entertainment, you were instead using it to turn your mind into a lucrative-opportunity seeking machine that will earn you your first six figures.
How? You can invest that time into listening to resources that will educate you on investing, tools, tricks and other strategies to increase your money-making potential.
There are so many resources available now on the internet, that there is literally no excuse. Most podcasts are free and audio books are not prohibitively expensive (yet). My journey into this started when I was working a job that required me to do door-to-door sales for part of the day. Initially I got 4 CDs and I had them playing in car on auto-replay. One day my roommate mentioned the book The 4-Hour Workweek and I started reading. I was immediately intrigued, but I didn’t have time to read it because I was basically working 14 hr days. The irony right? So I had the bright idea to get the audio book.
By the end of the first week I had listened to the entire book twice! Needless to say the book forever changed the way I saw my working hours and the listening experience forever changed how I saw my commute time.
The idea to write this post came to me just this morning as I was cooking and listening to Millennial Investing by the Investor’s Podcast Network. One of the guest speakers mentioned how foolish he felt when he realized he had been driving to work for a day and “wasting” that time listening to music, basically echoing the feeling I had when I finished reading the book for the first time.
Now if you are ready to invest in your listening experience here are some resources I would recommend.
